Oskarshamn 1 - Scheduled Operational Interruption

Pressrelease Thursday, March 30, 2017

Due to measures required on a water leak in the conventional turbine plant, an operational interruption is scheduled to take place at unit Oskarshamn 1 (O1) the following week.

A water leak in the conventional turbine plant was detected some time back and has since then been monitored by the use of camera and inspections. Initially, the leakage was on a stable level but lately, an increasing trend has been indicated.

In order to take measures required on the leakage, an operational interruption has been scheduled, starting on Monday 3 April. Unit O1 is scheduled to resume operations and again deliver weather independent base load power to the Swedish grid on Friday 7 April.

Unit Oskarshamn 3 (O3) is in operation and delivers climate efficient electricity to the Swedish grid on maximum power.
