Medical examination

All persons working in a radiological environment must have a medical examination before starting work. You can undergo a medical examination at your own occupational health service or other medical facility. A certificate of fitness for duty with an approved medical examination/periodic check-up must be submitted before arrival or handed in to reception on arrival.

Please note that your health declaration form must be sent to the doctor where you had your medical examination for assessment. The doctor will then issue a certificate of fitness for service for periodic checks.

It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure that medical examinations/periodic check-ups are repeated in accordance with the prescribed rules for personnel who continue to work in a radiological environment. The contractor is responsible for all costs for medical examinations and health declarations.

Certificates and reports are sent either by post or e-mail to:

Dosimetrin OKG AB 572 83 Oskarshamn Fax: 0491-78 78 28

E-mail Dosimetry

Repeat requirements

The medical examination must be carried out at least every three years, with a periodic check of the state of health in the intervening two years when the medical examination is not carried out.

Dose accounting

Doses taken outside Swedish nuclear facilities during the current year must be reported on a special OKG form on arrival at the reception desk.
