Is nuclear power a sustainable energy source?

Nuclear power meets the Brundtland Report's requirements for sustainable development and is also a plannable energy source, which is needed. Globally, nuclear power saves the climate from two billion tons of carbon dioxide per year. This is 40 times Sweden's total annual carbon dioxide emissions.

Who controls nuclear power in Sweden?

The Swedish Radiation Safety Authority is responsible for regulations and supervision. Check out www.stralsakerhetsmyndigheten.se for more info.
