Safety culture

Working with safety culture is thus largely about working with attitudes, values and behaviors and understanding how these parts affect each other and jointly create the conditions for a safe workplace.

At OKG, an important theme in safety culture is to maintain an open climate where people can question, make suggestions for improvements and at the same time be responsive, i.e. a good dialog for increased insight and understanding. Other important aspects of safety culture work are learning from experience and applying it, and being able to report incidents without fear of reprisals. The most important aspect and basis for a good safety culture is that all employees at OKG take ownership of the safety culture work and constantly act with safety as the primary focus.
