Work environment

The work environment at OKG is certified according to SIS OHSAS 18001:2007. This means that we have a strong focus on preventive measures and the development of systematic work environment management. Maintaining certification requires active participation from the entire organization. Work environment management, both physical and psychosocial, must be an integral and natural part of day-to-day operations.

Policy for work environment

At OKG, a good working environment and safety must prevail based on cooperation and everyone's participation and consideration for each other. We follow rules and expectations, strive for a work environment that prevents work-related accidents and illness, where everyone can thrive and develop both professionally and as individuals.

To achieve this, we need to:

  • Manage the work environment as a natural part of daily operations

  • Have a proactive approach and be active in health and safety work

  • Conduct health and safety work in collaboration between employers, employees and safety representatives and with suppliers

  • Have clear and communicated goals and expectations

  • Constantly strives to improve the operating system and health and safety performance

  • Has clear roles and tasks

  • Provides everyone with the right conditions in terms of knowledge, skills, resources and authority to promote a good and safe working environment

  • Regularly, and when changes occur, investigate and risk assess our physical as well as our organizational and social work environment and make work environment risks known

  • Report and investigate all incidents and accidents

  • If necessary, takes immediate action or draws up an action plan

  • Complies with mandatory requirements

  • Ensures the use of safety-friendly working methods

  • Prevents victimization and acts in case of misconduct

  • Has an alcohol and drug-free workplace
